You don’t need an account. We don’t keep your name with what you search for.
The title you type is sent to Open Library, Wikidata and MusicBrainz, so we can tell which book, film, album or picture you mean. Films may also be checked with The Movie Database. Albums may also be checked with ListenBrainz.
To suggest what to try next, that title and a short description are sent to Anthropic. We keep the suggestions.
A page also asks Anthropic for a short description, using the title, who made it and the year. We keep that description.
A book page links out to shops. Those links may be affiliate links, so a shop can tell that a sale came from this site. We don’t see your payment details.
If you suggest something, we keep the title, your sentence, and your name if you give one, so it can be shown on the site.
We keep a short note of the network address, for about an hour, so the site cannot be flooded with searches or suggestions.
We keep a list of books, films, series, albums and pictures that have been opened here, so they can be found again.
If you save a book, film, series, album or picture, we keep the title with the email address you give, so your bookmarks are still there when you come back. We email you a link to open them. We don’t use that address for anything else.
